So it turns out having money and spending it on a hobby does get you put into a elite list of people who got a full tour of the Games Workshop Head Quarters, who'd of knew right... money opens door haha.
Another older post I forgot to finish and who am I kidding write in the first place, why am I trying to fool you all haha.

A couple of years back in 2019 GamesWorkshop / ForgeWorld had a competition running, based around putting tickets into a hat based on monetary value spent in the store or online between two date, Yeah seems familiar I know right (Giants Walk 2021 or what ever they are calling the Christmas thing this time around), but instead of getting a Free model from ForgeWorld, you would had a chance at winning a visit to Warhammer World and a Full Tour of all the behind the scenes to the operation (nearly all).
Turns out I was a lucky winner of 2 of those tickets, so I could of in theory took 4 people including myself but I was declined that and no other winner was selected to fill the gap, NOICE one GW! Any who the day consisted of a couple of things Including a full studio design walk through of the Dioramas they had in all the halls at the time, a step behind the scenes into the Heavy M'ETAL Studio given a sneak preview of some of the stuff they were working on (nothing like up coming models purely just the stuff of desks and new displays). After starting here we were introduced to Dan Abnett which we all were given a copy of his "The Founding Book"
Dan was a pleasure to meet and it was surprising to find out what he had actually worked on, some of them were a complete shock but when thinking about it made sense, we all had our photos taken with Dan and had our books signed and chance to had a 5 minute chat after he had spoken to the group (roughly 25 people) collectively.

After having a free lunch in Bugman's of anything we wanted, we were then shuttled off through the head quarters and shown different parts of the offices, some of it being the design studio and board rooms where we were not allowed to take any photos due to the sensitive nature of those areas and braining storming on the whiteboards / collaboration desks after a very extensive tour minus the factory / production areas we were brought back into one of the larger room and given our own little photoshoot be that as a group or individually with some of the props that Games Workshop had brought along.
I'm not the most Photo Genetic person and probably should of done more but I'm not one for photos myself especially out of the blue haha.
Typically my best friend Grant was over the top but the photo came out great so all is good.
I know Games Workshop will never see this post but I'd Like to thank them regardless for a really good day I only had to drop the ££ on some plastic that is still yet to the painted but it was a really good day and the day my tickets were added there were some Orky Shenanigans going on to pull off what I did for sure! but stay tuned I'll have to get that typed up as soon as possible so that I can make sure you all know some of the crazy things I've had happen to me in my Journey into the Hobby over the last 5+ Years now.
Thank you all for taking the time to read my ramblings enjoy the rest of your day.
Tom
